Robert J. Drobile a 1951 Forestry graduate from Pennsylvania State University Mont Alto Campus past away on December 12, 2011 Mr. Drobile was a Professional Land Surveyor in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Jersey and worked as a field surveyor for the U.S. Geological Survey, Aero Service Corporation as a Photogrammetrist and manager of Field Surveys and retired as Vice President for SMC Martin, Inc., an engineering consulting firm. There are probably very few people who would remember Bob, but he was proud of his time at Mont Alto.
I lived in Mont Alto Hall 92-94...fire drills at 4 am, kegs in the woods, watching MSTK 3000, so many good times. The best of my life. Wish more people from those years would be on here!

I attened Mont Alto for two years and had a blast there. Met many great people but have lost touch with them over the years. I fondly remember "clicking" people into the dining hall, field day and participation in the crosscut competition, keggers on the mountain, quizzing all the denro majors on the tree names genius and species. Parties at the "farm", watching sunsets in the orchard and so much more. Currently work in the poconos teaching first grade and I love it. I spent 1 year at M.A., then we went up to the 'main campus.' Last weekend, I traveled to Phila. to reunite with Janice (Amaral) Toaso, Les Toaso, & Evy Scheff. I had lost this site and found it again just recently. Apparently I posted last several years ago. I'm now retired 2 1/2 years after 30 years with the BLM in Oregon. Spent 27 years in Roseburg and finished off in Klamath Falls. The biggest change in moving was getting used to freezing temperatures. We would ocasionally encounter them in Roseburg, the first day with the marking crew in K-Falls it was minus 13, and we were using water based paint. Anyplace in Oregon is great and I could spend the rest of my time just checking out all the variety but since I have time guess I'll try to see the rest of the country - after the wife retires. Since retirement I've worked at Diamond Lake Resort with fantastic fishing, and now as a backup lookout on the fire towers, reporting when needed. Looking forward to hear from the Ghetto crowd, and any other Mont Alto folks from 71-73.

I found this after coming across some MAers on facebook. I went to MA 78-79, lived on the Ghetto floor of Penn Gate with the frog glued to the wall with a cigarette in its mouth. Friend were Eric Wood (Woody), Lance Richell (sp?), Eric Wetzel (sp?), Joe Mahoney, Tim McCormick, Murph, and the entire Levittown crew (there must have been a couple dozen of them). I recognized quite a few names from the postings--pictures would have been nice.

I attended MA from Fall of 1969 through Spring of 1970 then went on to the main campus for the rest of my time at Penn State. MA was a great experience. I would love to hear from anyone that remembers me.
I attended Mont Alto from FA'98 to SP'00, and then transferred to main campus. I am a teacher in Philadelphia. I reside in South Philly. I miss Mont Alto, and would love to visit again. I lived in B House and Penn Gate 1. I completed my M.Ed. in SP'09 and will be starting my Ed.D. in 2010. I would loveto hear from anyone who was there with me! I miss my professors and hanging out in the Millstream! What about all the trips to Chambersburg, Waynesboro, Gettysburg, Carlisle, Hagerstown, and Shippensburg. Is Walmart still there?

Mont Alto campus Fall '91 - Spring '93 (main campus '93 - '95) Some of the absolute best experiences I've ever had. I miss the days when we had no responsibilities besides showing up for class... the keg parties at the different keg sites: Pit, Main site, Hogs Head, Malibu, Horizon... probably more, can't remember right now. I fully expect that I'll never come close to experiencing the sheer fun and adventure we had there. Some memories for everyone: the view up on South Mountain, Frank's Pizza, the orchards behind General studies building, PennGate I and II parties.

Cool site. I just found it by accident! My brief stint at Mont Alto was short, yet memorable (90-91). I enjoyed the friendships (Patrice, Stephanie, Tracy, Kristina, Cris and other pals). Unfortunately, I never fully completed my degree, but have since moved swiftly through the ranks of American Express. Now a tenured Director with the organization, I truly love what I do. I am on my second marriage (2nd times the charm)and have 3 wonderful children. Trying to hammer out completion of my degree via University of PHX, but find the course work and faculty ridiculously elementary and tedious. Hopefully, I have the patience- although luckily NOT having that piece of paper hasn't halted my career projection. I'll check back soon!
